4 Day Adventure Itinerary

Day 1

Morning

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at Café 1954, located onsite (opens at 9am) Enjoy coffee, a big breakfast, pancakes, and more!
Drive to Mount Lofty Summit and enjoy the scenic view of Adelaide. Make sure to visit the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens.

Afternoon

Park at the beginning of Hahndorf and explore the German township’s main street.

Have lunch at The Haus or Hanrdorf Inn for a traditional German meal, or try Ottto’s Bakery for German sweet delights.

Explore the quaint little shops in the main street, including ice cream shops, candle stores, clothing shops, and more.

Visit Beerenburg, a family-run shop selling homemade jams and chutneys. You can even pick your own strawberries (seasonal).

Head to Harndorf Farm Barn to interact with animals and watch cows being milked.

Optional: Visit Hahndorf Hill Winery, Sidewood Restaurant & Cellar Door, or La Prova Cellar Door for wine tasting experiences.

Evening

Choose from nearby dining options:

Day 2

Morning

Enjoy breakfast and coffee at Café 1954 (opens at 9am).

Head into the Adelaide CBD to visit various attractions:

  • Adelaide Central Market
  • Adelaide Oval – Roof Climb
  • Adelaide Art Gallery
  • Adelaide Zoo
  • Chinatown Adelaide
  • South Australian Museum
  • Migration Museum
  • National Wine Centre
  • St Peters Cathedral & St Francis Xavier Cathedral
  • Tandanya Aboriginal Cultural Institute

Lunchtime and afternoon

Have lunch at one of the many restaurants or cafes in the Adelaide CBD.

Rest and relax during the day.

Visit Ayers House, an iconic Victorian-era home on North Terrace.

Explore the Adelaide Art Museum, Migration Museum, Police Historical Museum, and Adelaide Reference Library.

Take a walk along King William Road, visit the Adelaide Festival Theatre, and enjoy the River Torrens.

Optional: Take a boat ride on the River Torrens to the Adelaide Zoo.

Day 3

Morning

After breakfast, head to McLaren Vale and Victor Harbor (90 mins drive).

Explore Granite Island, walk the trails, and enjoy views of the ocean. Take a horse-drawn tram to the island.

Have lunch in one of the eateries on the main street, try fish & chips from the original Victor Harbor Fish Shop.

Explore the shops and purchase freshly caught ocean fish.

Visit the Whale Centre, walk along the beaches, and play in the waves.

Optional: Visit local wineries in the area.

Afternoon

If heading home, stop by McLaren Vale for wine tasting at Serafino Winery or D’Arenberg Winery.
Choose one of the local outlets for tea or have it delivered.

Café 1954 is open on Friday and Saturday nights for pizza, hot food, and hot drinks.

Note: All food delivery orders should instruct the delivery person to ring from the entrance of the park for collection. Food delivery drivers are not allowed beyond the Boom Gate for guest safety.

Day 4

Morning

After breakfast, embark on a journey north towards Glenelg, a vibrant beachside suburb of Adelaide that offers an exciting day out.

The Beachhouse: A two-story entertainment center with water slides, water boats, putt-putt golf, arcade games, and more. While the kids play, you can grab a coffee at the café.

Bay Discovery Centre: Located in the iconic Town Hall, this social history museum showcases cultural heritage and artworks.

Explore the shops on the main street, filled with hidden treasures.

Enjoy the beautiful walk and bike trails along the Adelaide coastline. Rent bikes and ride past historic houses and buildings dating back to the early 1900s.

Drive down Tapleys Hill Road to Harbour Town, Adelaide’s home of outlet shopping, and find great bargains.

Afternoon

Head back home and take a well-deserved rest before dinner.
